WMF&G members at the 2012 Sportsman Show Augusta, Maine.
The Western Maine Fish and Game Club was incorporated in the early 1990s. For the 1st several years the club members met at the Community Room in the Harrison Fire Department before aquiring property on Route #117 from the Town of Harrison. 15-20 founding members worked deligently to clear the property with the help of the Army Corp of Engineers. A 12' x 60' used mobile home was donated and brought to the site to be used for a temporary club house. The old club house was removed and burned November of 2015. In its place, we now have a beautiful new wooden building that was completed in early 2015, with some minor inside work still waiting to be done. We now have a 100 yard rifle range, a 20 yard pistol range and a trap range complete with a new trap machine purchased in 2011.
One of the groups who take advantage of the range is the Bridgton Academy students every spring and fall. We teach them safe gun handling and trap shooting.
